12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 4/28/23, had 7/23/23.
Pours a dark amber, fairly clear, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, caramel, maple, vanilla, malt, some oak. Similar flavors: rye whiskey, caramel, maple, vanilla, malt, oak. Has a spicy flavor. Smooth, a very good lighter medium body, appropriately carbonated.
This is barrel forward, and excellent barrels they are, expressing lots of vanilla and maple. The base is very good as usual, and is a solid backbone for the barrel presence. Good stuff.
