12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/10/23, had 4/2/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with a brief head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, oak, maple, roasted malt, vanilla, some chocolate and prunes, light leather. Pretty similar flavors: bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, oak, some prunes, light maple and chocolate, light leather. Has a spicy taste. Smooth, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.
The Heaven Hill barrels are excellent, but the maple syrup barrels drop off as it warms. Lots of oak and vanilla. This is really good.
