12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/10/23, had 3/24/24.
Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch foamy head and light foamy lacing. Aromas of blueberries, chocolate, roasted malt, some rye whiskey, some oak, light vanilla and raisin. Flavors of blueberries, rye whiskey, roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, some oak. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
Very enjoyable. The blueberries have a prominent and delicious presence to go with a solid and expressive base beer. The rye barrels are a little lighter than preferred.
