12 ounce can into a snifter. Released 6/10/23, had 6/4/24. Also had on tap at release.
Pours near black and opaque, with a half inch head of darker foam and some foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, leather, some caramel, light tobacco. Mostly similar flavors: bourbon, roasted malt, oak, vanilla, leather, some caramel and chocolate. Smooth, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.
This is really good. The barrels are prominent, giving up lots of oak and leather; and the base handled the two years of aging wonderfully. A swaggering and boozy effort.
