This version was aged for a year in a blend of Oppidan Bourbon and Rum barrels. The blend of barrels makes for a complex beer with notes of Bourbon, Rum, molasses, caramelized sugar, dark fruits, vanilla, oak, and baking spices.

12 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Released 5/2/25, had 6/13/25.

Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch foamy head and some foamy lacing. A ring of foam follows down the glass. Aromas of rum, chocolate, vanilla, oak, light roast malt, some caramel and char, light bourbon, light licorice when warmed. Mostly the same flavors: rum, bourbon, vanilla, roasted malt, oak, some prune, light chocolate and caramel. Smooth, a very good fuller body, well carbonated.

Very nice. Prominent rum barrels, and lots of vanilla and oak notes to go along with the typically solid base.
