Draft pour into a standard shaker pint glass. Slightly cloudy but mostly clear gold with hardly any head save a few swirls of white foamy bubbles scattered atop the golden liquid. Light aroma of wheat, citrus and malt. Taste follows. It’s kind of bland but easy drinking. Not overly hoppy by any means, although it could benefit from an extra dosing of hops. Medium to medium-full mouthfeel. A little lower carbed and a malty finish. Not horrible but a little muddled and bland.

So I am visiting my parents in Key Largo with my son for a few days over Spring Break and this single was sitting lonely in the fridge so here we are. Nice melange of citrus and wheat with a touch of black pepper. If they can make a wheat ale this solid, I will be looking to try their other offerings.

12 oz can, straight up on this hot SWFlorida afternoon. A simple, adaquate, reasonably priced, fresh, low ABV wheat cooler with a hint of hop.

Pours a cloudy but not opaque burnished gold color. Thin, weak white head. Not long lasting. Aroma has notes of wheat, some citrus, a bit of old past their prime hops. (The perils of undated cans.)
Taste follows the nose with some notes of wheat, a touch of citrus, some tangerine, some mild hop notes. It’s somewhat bland in presentation. Feel is light, easy drinking. Mild carbonation.
Overall, it’s a forgettable wheat ale. I wouldn’t turn it down if offered, but it’s not one I would pick up myself.

Refreshing golden wheat ale. Perfect summer drink. Poured from bottle into a Samuel Adams glass resulting in a good half inch head that tends to hang around. Excellent lacing with citrus taste. Bit hoppy for a wheat ale. Worth a try.

F: light-to-medium body, ample carbonation
O: decent wheat ale; next time I’ll try it with a key lime wedge, as the brewer suggests

Poured from a can. Light yellow in color with a white foamy head. Smells of honey, citrus and floral. Taste of bread, citrus and hops. A little more hops here than a typical wheat beer.
