Had Stockholm Syndrome in June 2017 on the island of Gotland, Sweden, poured from 330-ml. bottle, label stamped best before "05 DEC 2017," into small hand-blown tulip glass.
Pours hazy reddish-brown with 1-finger of very light tan head, which hangs around as a persistent film and leaves nice splotchy lace. A hint of spice off the pour but the aroma is mainly sweet fruit and malt. On drinking, carbonation carries the big, somewhat sweet caramel malt, which is soon balanced by nicely bittering hops. Reminiscent of Rogue's American Amber, but a bit less sweet, so I like better.
