A. Pours a dark mostly opaque beer with a two finger khaki head that subsides after about half a minute.
S. Sweet biscuit and roasted malt or barley fills the nose. Faint rubbing alcohol smell though.
T. Roasty and sweet. Woody. But definitely different than oak. Slight juniper bark. Medicinal aftertaste.
M. Body of a porter. 5 on a 1-10 thickness scale. Slight carbonation. Slight dry mouthfeel.
O. Definitely a different beer. I am gllad I tried it. It's not great but not bad. Idk if it's the flavor of the maple wood gives off but I kinda get some Sahti flavors. All in all not a bad beer. But one is enough for a night.

"Oatmeal Stout Aged On Hard Maple Wood"
A- Inch-tall light mocha head on a dark brown body. Head is dense. Splotchy lacing. Makes for a good presentation.
S- Aroma of sweet roast/coffee/chocolate. Mouth watering wafts.
T- Roast gives way to wood on the aftertaste. Would guess this around 6.5%abv?
M- Medium mouthfeel. Lower end of carbonation fits the style perfectly and makes it smooth as a whole.
D/O- Maple taste qualities are somewhat distracting towards the end of the pint but otherwise a very drinkable, super-smooth, oatmeal stout. Great job Four Fathers...looking forward to more of your offerings.
