A newly released bomber with no date purchased at their anniversary party on 04/15/17 poured in a Four Fathers nonic pint glass.
Look- Pours a dark gold with a brownish hue leaving a baby finger of soapy white lingering foam. Moderate lacing is left after it settles.
Smell- Mild floral/perfume, cotton candy and some banana.
Taste- Sugar! Lots of it. After the diabetic assault to the palate subsides, there's some floral esters that emerge along with a hint of citric fruit. I get a hint of banana and clove in the finish as well.
Feel- Thick and creamy with some bitterness in the finish.
Overall- Too much brown sugar just about obliterated any hop flavor in this beer. The look and feel are it's best attributes in my opinion. The tooth shattering sweetness may be perfect for those with a sweet tooth. While not a drain pour, it's something I wouldn't buy again and regret purchasing two.
