A pour from a howler filled on 2/17/18 in my Four Fathers hop bomb glass.
Look- Pours a vibrant bright yellow with a few centimeters of quickly disappearing white foam. No lacing is present.
Smell- Dank herbal weed, passionfruit, orange zest and a peppery spice.
Taste- Earthy and slightly spicy weed, orange zest, passion fruit and a something akin to pepper in the finish.
Feel- A bit resiny for the style with a slightly bitter and dry finish.
Overall- There's some truth in labeling as it does smell and taste a bit like weed. A kolsch in name only as it drinks more like a hoppy adjunct pale or IPA. A tasty enough novelty that probably isn't for everyone, but I found it worth a try.
