Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a slightly hazy mahogany hue with a nice thick head that fades to leave sticky lacing.
S - Aromas of rich lightly sticky bock notes, light caramel, good barrel notes, little bit of roasted plantains as well.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, good sweeter malts and caramel. Faint chocolate and light sweet plantains. Good bourbon.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden nicely.
O - Overall this was a solid enough weizenbock. The plantains were fun but clearly a gimmick.

Pours a big foamy bubbly head that fades at a med pace, a touch of lacing, dark murky mahogany brown color
Nose is not too pleasant, bbq sauce vinegar sweet malt and weird plantain with Smokey notes, weird rum fruity notes and mild barrel, notes, mild vegetal green thing with tomato thing, some candied wheat weizenbock
Taste is a bit better, sweet candied caramel wheat weizenbock, into fair bitterness, a little toasted plantain like character, little raisiny fruit, mild bitterness, little rummy fruit and barrel notes, almost mezcal like notes earthy fruity barrel, mild bitterness
Mouth is med bod, decent carb, little sweet richer feel
Overall eh, barrel was ok at best, weizenbock was ok at best, plantain was weird

Appearance - The beer poured from the bottle a murky brown color with a khaki head.
Smell - Malt and booze are light, but dominate the nose. Elements of the base beer are hidden.
Taste - The first impression is chocolate covered bananas soaked in bourbon. Every element is somewhat modest. The beautiful base beer is smothered.
Mouthfeel - The feel of the style is appropriate with carbonation being light.
Overall - I like the base beer better.
