Appearance - The beer poured a murky brown color with an off-white head.
Smell - The nose seemed very sweet for the style, at times reminding me of maraschino cherries.
Taste - The initial impression was mostly sweet at the front before a wave of bitterness in back. I would best describe it as sweet fruit cocktail spread on wheat toast.
Mouthfeel - The beer was cloudy was near chunkiness to the feel. It had some lingering power.
Overall - The beer was more like an English barleywine than a wee heavy, but I enjoyed it.
