Appearance - The beer was murky black in color with a modest head.
Smell - The nose was slightly sweet. I was able to detect some blueberry and a hint of maple.
Taste - The initial taste was sweet, but not overwhelming. To be concise, it was like pancakes with little syrup and a sparse amount of blueberries. The coffee presence was reasonably strong. The sweetness lingered at the finish, but it was not overly impressive.
Mouthfeel - The body was on the lower end of acceptability for the style. It did have some viscosity.
Overall - I wish FF would have just stuck with regular BA Wheelhouse this year, instead of smothering it in adjuncts. By itself, it is an elite BA coffee stout.
