Canned 2/04/19
Pours a large foamy frothy head with great retention, soapy lacing, semi hazy pale blond color
Nose super tropical fruit almost artificial it's so dominant, tons of mango, papaya, some pineapple, mild orange and grapefruit, light sweet candy malt
Taste big tropical again but less dominant, mango, papaya, some citrus tangerine pluot thing, mild bitterness, juicy, light malt and a little sweetness, dry finish, soft bitterness, lingering tropical fruit
Mouth is med to lighter bod but soft juicy, medium carb
Overall pretty nice, new take on a NEIPA not loaded with flaked malts, proteins, etc, more a softy juicy session ipa

These guys should stick to running their restaurant and skip the brewery. Smelled good very hoppy, looked good. tasted like raw dry hops. Dirty, like they filtered it through a burlap bag.

If you rated this beer over a 2 you just do not know New England style IPAs. I was excited to try this because I love citra hops and they advertise as a juicy IPA. This is no where near a juice bomb and reminded me more of a Red Ale or something. Its amber color is not even close to a nice hazy juice bomb and the flavor lacks fruity notes. This is not a good NE IPA period. Poor effort.

From the brewer, "New England IPA juice bomb - double dry hopped with tons of Citra - needs to be drunk fresh!"
Dirty amber color and cloudy. Small head with a single ring of lace initially. Minor spots thereafter.
Tropical fruit and freshly ground hop cones come to mind on the smell.
The beginning taste is full of mango and pineapple. Sweet and juicy. The hop provides balance but it's in no way a hop bomb. Balanced finish and aftertaste. The body and carbonation are neutral. Overall, a more mild version of the NE IPA, still good.
