The color is near black and no light passes even through the edge. Tiny head with little lace.
Dark aroma of deeply roasted malts. I also pickup an ashen nose that contributes to the smell.
The ashen elements are stronger in the taste. The body is more full than some Stouts. Good carbonation. I get a bit of biting coffee in the swallow. No sweetness, no cream.
