Cloudy gold orange appearance with a slightly thin body. Carbonation is slightly biting bit overall a decent feel
Aroma is a really pleasant mix of clove, mild banana, yeast, coriander. A little citrus and pepper is there also giving it a bit of a bite
Overall it was a very inexpensive but flavorful beer.

CAN you believe what I netted at Monde Market during my latest visit to PHL? I love going in there since a) they know me well, b) the prices are some of the lowest of my frequent stops & c) there is always plenty for the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Hefeweizen Traditional German Wheat Beer"; "[Scale] Maltzig [Malty to] Hopfen [Hoppy] - tending malty"; "[Scale] Helles [Light to] Dunkel [Dark] - very light"; "[Scale] Fantastich [Awesome to] Fantasticher [Awesomer] - off the charts awsomer"; "Guten tag, Bierlute! Hier ist unsere ausführung zu einem traditionellen Deutchen bier, dem Hefeweizen! Weicher, kissenartiger Weizen, der mit einer klassichen Bayerischen bierhefe kombinert wird. Das perfekte bier für einen warmen frühlingsnachmittag. Prost! [translated - Good day, beer people! Here is our version of a traditional German beer, Hefeweizen! Soft, pillow-like wheat that is combined with a classic Bavarian brewer's yeast. The perfect beer for a warm spring afternoon. Cheers!]"
I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing the vent since this style is meant to be cloudy in appearance & I wanted to ensure that any & all flocculate was in suspension. I CANtinued with a hard, aggro C-Line Glug into the awaiting Hefeweizen glass for the same reason/purpose. This resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with modest retention, falling away to wisps rather quickly. Color was a deeply-hazy/lightly-cloudy Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4). Nose was less banana or clove than lemon. Hmm. Interesting. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not far removed, either. The taste was more to my liking in the style - peppery clove esters dominated with a CANtinued lemoniness and minimal banana and bubble gum! Mmm. This is gnerally achieved through fermentation under Lager CANditions & I wonder if such was the case here. Finish was exceptionally dry & refreshing, but not totally within the specs for the style. YMMV.
