This interesting little porter pours a dark brownish black with thin cola
highlights and a nice head of light tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
pool, and shows some nice light lacing. Nose of roasted coffee, cocoa, and
dark malts with light earthy notes. Flavors exceed the nose with dark roasted malts
to the fore with brown sugars and black raisins mingling with coffee and cocoa
with a touch of cola notes. Very mild herbal hops give balance on the rear with
earthy malt flavors and a touch of dark fruit notes. Nice mouth feel; medium
carbonation that is lively, medium body, and a roasted rich coffee touched finish.
Overall, a solid little porter.
