Matte blackish-brown with a tall tan head that retains well.
A very solid black IPA, solid roast meets assertive hops that exude both evergreen and citrus rind, though the malt does seem to have a touch of astringency.

12/23/22 16 oz single from Washington Beer Store.
Pours black opaque. Nice tan head.
Nose is metallic with pine/juniper. Thyme. Roasty dark burnt.
Taste is very roasty French roast. A hint of caramel and molasses. Cedar. Bitterness throughout. Spicy mouthfeel and medium, dry astringency.
