A red mahogany, smells of warm raisin bread and hard cinnamon candy. Tastes of malt, brown sugar and a hop/cinnamon aftertaste. More carbonation than I expect from an Old Ale, but lovely and refreshing.

not sure i would call this an old ale in nature, but nevermind that, this is creative and excellent beer, pale amber in color and brewed with some cinnamon sticks. it has a great malt meets spice aroma and flavor, neither too sweet and rich, or too one dimensional from over dosing cinnamon, its right in the middle, and it makes a heck of an interesting fall beer, i think its right on. nice head on it, and great clarity. a nose of mild cinnamon bark and sweet caramel malts, mid range crystal if i had to guess. a hint of honey to the flavor, and the cinnamon builds to the finish, never even approaching hot, or even really all that intense, its still quite tame even at its apex, which i think is the genius of this beer. never really had anything like this, especially in a beer that isnt dark, and to have cinnamon stand in isolation, not with vanilla or coffee or anything, is a really nice touch. majorly impressed with the recipe, clearly this is one unique offering. one of my favorites on our visit here yesterday afternoon!

A - Ruby red, and actually a lot darker than you would think it would be
S - A HINT of cinnamon on the nose, but overall I get burnt sugar/brown sugar and a darker maltier backbone out of this.
T - OLD ALE. I don't get any cinnamon at all on my palate, but it tastes like a really nice woody/malty/sugary old ale very similar to Dry Dock's.
M - Not overly carbonated with tight tiny bubbles that give it a velvet-y feel
O - I think this beer needs to be re-branded. I get a little cinnamon on the nose but only if I give myself a borderline oxygen overdose. The off branding isn't necessarily an issue since this is a really nice beer still. What I've gathered from other patrons too is that this beer doesn't taste as described, so it's not just me. I would recommend overall.
