A - Cantaloupe orange with a little haziness, nice foamy head
S - Cantaloupe!!! Nice piney and citrusy notes and a little bit of alcohol
T - Just an insane amount of melon. They used a new hop strain called German Hull Melon and man was it named accordingly. You get that nice cool melon flavor up front and then just enough hop bite to call this a double IPA. It was quite refreshing and I had a hard time not chugging it.
M - Medium-full bodied for an IPA, it felt very thick and sticky which actually worked for this beer. Very unique mouthfeel to compliment a unique beer.
O - Two22's first attempt at an Imperial IPA was a knockout delivering on the promise of a melon IPA. It succeeded on all angles from the smell/taste/mouthfeel to make you feel like you shoved a hop into a wedge of cantaloupe. I know it might sound funky, but it was truly delicious. My only knock is that OVERALL I could have used more hop bite, but that is personal preference.
