Very sweet. Masks high alcohol content well. Mulling spices up front, orange comes in on the finish. Orange in color. Lactose and sweet. No hops. Overall not bad if you like a very sweet beer.

New to reviewing, but not to reading everyone elses. I picked this up because it was new to my store. The taste is like a not so good knock off of Dogfish 90 Minute IPA.
The beer is smells and taste very sweet and malted. I can't call it "balanced" as the sweetness overpowers the little hop flavor and bitterness it delivers at the end (along with more syrupy sweetness). It says it contains blood oranges which leaves the impression you may have some good citrus notes, but again the malted sweetness overwhelms my palate (It also purports to contain honey which I do not doubt)...At 11% a.b.v it is smooth and drinkable, but in this era so is nearly every other high abv beer from a decent brewery.
Halfway through the bottle I've decided to finish it, but I think the rest of my 4 pack will spend some time aging in the back of the beer fridge.
This one comes down to preference. Don't let my review keep you from giving it a shot, but if your looking for a citrus hop forward double IPA...bara-get away from this one

Really little-to no hop bitterness present from the double IPA used in the mix; rather, the flavor was much more reminiscent of a fruity sour beer or strong saison.

Tried this at the Bourbon Bacon Beer Festival in Fort Wayne, IN.
A - Bright golden color. Thin white head with fine bubbles. Looked just like a braggot should but reminded me of a blond ale.
S - Just like you would expect it has a sweet honey character with some maltiness. Has some alcohol and resembled a floral wine.
T - Has a honey sweetness up front with a more savory malt character and a fruity, floral character in the middle with a slight alcohol finish. It tastes like a sweet mead with some carbonation. The finish is crisp but you can tell that you just tasted something sweet.
M - Light mouth-feel. Light carbonation. For being so sweet and higher in alcohol it does drink very well. I couldn't drink it often but it isn't too cloying or bity.
Overall, the best Braggot I've had. I have tried a couple but they typically are boozy and not balanced but this one was the opposite of both of those. Honey flavor without being cloying, dry, or boozy and enough other flavors to make this a very tasty beer.

On tap at castlers pub in Fishers IN.
Beer is golden honey in color with lots if carbonation and one finger of thin foam. Heavy lace left in the glass.
Smell is malts and honey with a bit of fruitiness in the nose as well.
Taste is actually sweet from the honey almost to the point of being like berries. Not what I had expected from this beer. No booze at all which is nice for a beer at 11% abv.
Reasonably light for a high abv beer as well coats and fades as quickly as it starts.
Overall a nice beer.
