Triple fermented with four strains of yeast, Hell Imperial Stout will slowly tangle your soul in the depths of the inferno as you sip on the robust, thick and roasted body of this sinful beer. Brewed with Taxman Brewing. Heaven & Hell Collaboration Series.

Pours black, with a finger of cocoa brown head that slowly dissipates. Smells like a Belgian-style stout, with very nice aromas of banana pudding, dark chocolate, clove, vanilla, and darkly roasted malts. The taste has initial flavors that follow the nose, but it quickly shifts to a somewhat bitter finish with burnt grains and light metallic notes. It doesn't derail the experience, but it is a bit distracting. Overall, lots of depth of flavor worth sipping over time as it warms.
Only my second beer from Scarlet Lane, with the first being Dorian on tap at a business dinner, so I couldn't really savor it. Intriguing enough that I may need to pay a visit to the taproom at some point in the future.
