well, it seems like literally everyone is making an east coast ipa type these days, nowhere in the country seems to be immune to this fad, and there truly is more rubbish in this field to sift through than even the fruited kettle sours right now, its becoming exhausting, even if i am starting to come around on the good ones. this one is squarely mediocre, would be better as a single than a double i think, and feels more like a copycat than something originally thought up. its hazy sure, even a little green tinted in their low light cellar feeling taproom, frothy headed though and lively. it smells nice, citra and azacca they say, and something else, northwestern and older school for sure, this is bitter for the style in the flavor too which i actually kind of need with all the multiple dry hoppings that have become fashionable in the style. the grain makes it feel heavy though, and there is some hop burn harshness here too, just not as refined as it could be, and the alcohol is just a little bit exposed. some good hop character though, and its not all bad, smooth even if its heavy, and well carbonated and fresh enough. i just didnt love either of the beers i had in here, full of potential both of them, but the execution is at least a step away from where it should be...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
