Hazy copper beer, presented with a thin off white head that fades to a thin film. The aroma is very strong on the malt notes and reminds me of my trips to the bourbon distilleries in Kentucky. The taste is all malt, with a strong sweetness up front and decent hop bitterness on the finish to cleanse the palate. The aftertatse is somewhat smoky. This is an excellent beer, and much more robust than I expected. Mouthfeel of a good brown ale. Very good drinkability, as it is very well balanced, even though the malt dominates the aroma. Excellent beer, and a real find for Wheeling, WV.
