This beer looks great. Nice golden bronze color with a sturdy off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is almost all pine. Some maple syrup seems in there underneath the pine. I liked it. Flavor was just too much pine. Not the most bitter beer but the malt base didn't hold up well enough. A bit sweet upfront then a raw pine flavor underneath. Very, very dry finish. A very flavorful beer, which surprised me, but it could be tweaked a little.

Reviewed 07/17/2005. I was told that this is one of the beers that is brewed on premise. Many of the beers are contract brewed at New Holland. Pours a decent copper color with a small ish white head. Nose is of a Northwest Hop variety exhibiting a citrusy but also a very piney nose. That piney was evident through the whole beer. Flavor starts out malty and then the hops kick in and that piney-ness rears its ugly head. Mouthfeel is drying and the finish is a very long hoppy piney event.
