Oktoberfest is back for the Tapping Party September 15 at B.O.B.'s Brewery.
Big and rich, cloudy like a Hefeweizen in the pint glass. Dark amber, looks like an Oktoberfest in color but for some reason unfiltered. Loads of flavor, if rather murky. Quite grainy, a bit raw. More hoppy than most Oktoberfests. Bitter aftertaste. Nice mouthfeel. Just a sprawling stew of a beer, not much in common with the style, but make for an interesting quaff.

This B.O.B. offering comes an auburn red color with a slight tan head. Aroma is honeyish sweet with caramel malt and maybe a little grainy. Flavor follows the aroma. Body seems a bit weak and the malts aren't totally held together well. Hops are not really noticeable at all save for the oily slickness midway through the drink. This really isn't too bad of an offering, not the greatest but not bad either.
