July 8th, 2015 - In my last review I suggested that a tequila barrel aged stout might be the final boss, but it turns out it is this Rum Barrel Aged Creme Brûlée. This thing has a fresh oak smell that gives no quarter, and while it smells fresh, it is also hot with spicy rum notes. And to quote from my notes for the flavor: "Whoahhhhhh." This is a super sweet beer, reaching the same sugary proportions as the creme brûlée, with a long aftertaste laced with hot white rum. It's not spicy in the taste, save for an echo of spiciness in the aftertaste, but more sweet.
