Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a mostly black color, slight hues of dark brown here and there. Level finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light lace. The aroma had some sweet oat/grains, light roasted malt, some milk chocolate and some cream. The flavor yielded to the sweetness initially and then developed some of the roasty character as it warmed. Light sweet oats to chocolate aftertaste and finish. The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps a touch under with a pretty good sessionability about it. Good carbonation. ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good oatmeal stout worthy of having again if I could get it.

This was about a poor of an example of an oatmeal stout as I have ever had. It was incredibly thin. Paper-thin. Dark in color, yet thin enough that the entire beer remained transparent. Nothing about the flavor was consistent with an oatmeal stout, or any kind of stout for that matter. This was more like a thin-bodied schwarzbier than anything else.
