On tap at the brewpub in Coeur d'Alene in August 2009. Couldn't put this review in with the rest of my backlog earlier, as this place was listed as closed for a period of time.
The pour is a moderate brown color with a few rusty streaks. There is a single-finger white head that doesn't remain for too long but leaves a few spots of lacing behind. The nose and flavor are pretty similar with some slight fruits, a bit of bready malt, and some faint toast. The body was pretty thin, though the carbonation wasn't too bad. Decent enough, I suppose.

Had this on-tap at the Steamplant Grill (CDA operates a brewpub within this restaurant) for $3.23 (although the menu said it would be $3.50, but I'm not complaining). This suffered from this place's usual tendency to serve their beers too damn cold. In fact this actually appeared to be colder than the other two beers I tried, since I actually encountered ice fragments in this one!
This came colored a rubyish brown. Moderate off-white head that didn't hang around too long. Modest lace.
The primary scent I got out of this was of nutty sweetness.
The flavor wasn't much more than the smell. Not a lot of depth to this.
Seemed a bit watery to me, though I admit it's been a long time since I've had a Maibock, so I'm not so familiar with the style.
This was an average beer made below average by it's asinine coldness. If allowed to warm up, its ok.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
