According to the Tasting Room menu it is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale aged in Syrah Barrels from the Sundowner winery. On tap in a taster glass.
L-Dark with a red tint, pinkish head and not cloudy like many wine barrel beers. Must be filtered.
S- Syrah wine and Belgian yeast.
T-Just a quad with wine, though the wine is very present. It had a lot of alcohol which tells me it is quite young.
F-Very nice mouthfeel with low carbonation.
I really liked this beer, especially in wine barrels. I like Syrah so that helps. I wished they bottled it as it needs some age. The Syrah is from Malibu area so it tends to have more alcohol.
