330 ml bottle, from the brewery, ABV is 6.0%. Pitch black colour, low brown head. Pleasant roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, vanilla and mild coffee, blueberries in the background. The flavour is medium dry, the roastiness (coffee again) is not overdone, and blends in nicely with the fruitiness from the blueberries. A pleasant beer that I’ll be happy to drink again.

 

33cl bottle. Very dark ruby pour with a small tan head that dissipates quite quickly. Smells of dark cherries, roasted malts and dark chocolate. The taste follows the same note, a bit too sweet and too watery.

Wow this was delicious. Ordered two 12 oz bottles from a bar in Oslo, don't remember what bar. Owner said it wasn't selling so he wouldn't be ordering more. I'll take his order! Wonderful stout look, very very inky black, impossible to get much light through. Didn't get any hint of purple from the blueberries. Smell was some nice coffee and chocolate up front, finishing with a slight hint of fruit. I don't know if, in a blind test, I could have detected the blueberry (maybe even the fruit) but I remember getting it on the nose. Taste was perfect to me. This was the first blueberry stout I've ever had and man I want more (I did order another one...). Definite blueberry on the finish, with a good stout base. Overall, as you can tell, I loved this beer. Perfect balance of fruit and stout, something that isn't attempted too often. If anyone has a good alternative to this or has some FT shoot me a message.

Surprisingly nothing special. I guess that blueberry is a hard flavour to deliver into a stout without it being hidden. Overall it is a good beer but not quite what I had hoped for.
