L- Zesty citrus hops
S- Mid amber. slightly cloudy. Lively carbonation. 1cm head, reducing.
T- Hoppy-dry with softer balanced follow-through.
F- Crisp and refreshing. Not overly carbonated in the mouth.
O- After 1/3rd glass this comes over as very easy going. So yes, could session this one.

330 ml can, from SPAR Jørpeland. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, large white head. Hoppy aroma, notes of pine and spruce, also grapefruit. The flavour has a slight sweetness, notes of fruity hops (citrus and tropical fruits), but not very bitter.

The past couple of days have been an amazing CANmalgam of Goses & Pilsners, but now my supply is exhausted. I had the Duvel as kind of an oddball, but it will lead me back to some of the breweries from which I reviewed beers the last couple of days, including Transmitter, Manayunk (CANayunk), Sly Fox, Conshohocken (CANshohocken), Sloop & Great North. Following that excursion, I will be focusing on imports for a while, bringing me full circle to that one. Stay tuned. It's gonna be CANother wild ride on The CANQuest (tm)! These next three (3) were brought back for me by a local trivia teammate who travels a good bit for work. Thanks, Rod!
From the CAN: "Outdoor IPA"; "Throw a few in your backpack, head out and enjoy this CAN of awesome on your next great adventure. Hop-bursted, dry-hopped and CANned for freshness, this sessionable IPA wont be lost in the woods."; "Bryggeri - 63° N".
Uncle In America, eh? Well, let's see, beginning with a Crack! of the vent, followed by a slow, steady C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. I was met with a brief finger of foamy, soapy, rocky, bone-white head with modest retention that quickly fell to wisps. Color was Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7) with NE-quality clarity, leading to a return visit from The Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus. At least the mermaid had left so there was no further embarrassment. Nose had the lemony citrusiness that is common to/in Session AIPAs. Mouthfeel was medium, but with a softness as though they were using very soft water. 8=O I have not experienced that before in this style! Interesting. The taste suffered from the usual aroma hops vs bittering hops CANundrum in that it smelled better than it tasted. Session AIPAs should have their own separate style, IMHO. This lacked the Ooomph! that bitterness provides & I understand that it is by design, but I don't have to like it. Finish was semi-dry, but I just was not feelin' it. Oh well. YMMV.
