330 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 5.5%. Very dark brown opaque colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Nice malty (but not sweetish) aroma, notes of lightly roasted malts and some caramel, burnt breadcrumbs. Medium dry flavour, lightly roasted malts and burnt breadcrumbs again. Not bad.

Very big for an English brown with a serious coffee and roast malt aroma which carries through the palate. Nice but intense bitterness. Out of style for my tastes but it still works well as a beer.
