330 ml bottle, batch #484, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 9.0%. Ingredients include allspice, star anise and orange peel. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Strong and complex aroma of various Chrismas spices, also malts. The flavour is moderately sweet (not too much) and malty, again with strong and complex notes of Christmas spices, without any single of them being allowed to dominate. Very moderate hops. A very good Christmas beer from Austmann this one.

33cl bottle. Dark brown pour with a tall tan head and visible carbonation. Smells like raisins in alcohol and wet metal. Tastes like something foul, can’t really describe it and won’t spend much time on it other than to say it’s like a sulphurous substance with a metallic sensation attached.
