Dated 3/27/18. Pours a very hazy copper color with a thin foamy head. Head retention is mild. Lacing is very good. More of a boozy aroma. Earthy and somewhat appley. Decent taste. Very malty. Again, the booziness is evident. Tropical fruit flavors with some apple and bitterness. Somewhat astringent at the end. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Would like to try a fresher one.

Minimal head and no lacing
Thick and syrupy
Smelled better out of the can than it did after I poured my glass
Good beer but I wouldn’t pick it up again given the $15.99 price for a sixer

Gold in color with a quarter inch of off white on top. The aroma is of citrus hops. I'm tasting pine and citrus hops along with some light malt. The mouth is sticky and chewy.

A: Pours a hazed orange/yellow color. A two finger, dense white head forms with good retention. Gobs of lace cling to the glass.
S: A fairly neutral nose. Though some ripe melon and citrus aromas come through. It just kind of falls off after that. What I do get is welcoming but just not enough pops.
T: Like the nose, but a bit more vibrant. Ripe melon and citrus flavors with a touch of bitterness lingering. A touch sweet as well.
M/O: A medium body with soft carbonation. A bit chalky, with a sweeter finish than I would like. Though it is very easy to drink. Something I can come back to with ease.
A pretty enjoyable DIPA. I think I still prefer Meta Modern when fresh at its peak, but would not hesitate to come back to this, especially if looking for something a bit bigger. I don't know if this should be in the NEIPA category, and am sure all the so called "experts" will chime in one way or the other. Seems kind of twiner to me, but what do I know? Enjoyable, but Meta and He-Man Session Hater are better IMO.
