Look: Deep golden brown, opaque. Long head retention
Smell: I think I can smell nutty and some malty-ness. I have a terrible sense of smell, though.
Taste: Malty, a hint of nutty and caramel as well. Can definitely tell it's a higher ABV beer, both in taste and feel.
Feel: Tastes very full bodied
Overall: After reading more about this I wish I would've bought multiple and cellared one. I haven't had many strong ales, but this is definitely recommended

Appearance: Pours hazy and copper colored with a thick head; nice persistence and the head leaves a strand or two of lace
Smell: Complex malt tones - caramel, apple, tobacco and dried orange peel, with an herbal aspect
Taste: Malt forward, with caramel and tobacco forward, with fruity tones developing; the middle is dominated by a wallop of dried orange peel hop flavors verging on piney; the finish brings the caramel back along with some boozy tones; considerable bitterness in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Almost tastes like a barleywine; I am not thrilled by the hop flavor here but otherwise this is a nice English Strong - you don't see one of those every day
Thanks, TravisMason, for the opportunity

A - Nice clear copper amber color with a thick lacing ring.
S - Sweet caramel malt, lightly fruity.
T - Sweet malt consistent throughout with melon and some sweetness on the back of the tongue with assertive bitterness hitting the sides. Finishes with an assertive bitterness that lingers on and on.
M - Moderate carbonation, dry finish, full bodied, thick.
O - Enjoyed this beer.

Flavorful, balanced strong pale; hops nor alcohol content as overpowering as the numbers would suggest; only problem is how easily this one goes down; easy to forget this is a high-alcohol brew

16oz tallboy from the brewery.
Rusty amber hue, some chill haze but the appearance is acceptable. Big malty nose of toasted bread, taffy, fallen apples, and nutty yeast. Fruity with a toffee backing, warming but not hot, bread crust, taffy, herbal hop ... all make for a very drinkable yet intricate brew.
Even several sips in you don't notice the 9%, impressive sipping with this one.

L - Golden and slightly hazy
S - Some citrus and floral hop notes are dominant in the nose, but some sweet maltiness can be smelled as well
T - Reminds me a lot of Arrogant Bastard, especially when very cold. As it warms up, it opens and mellows out. You can pick up much less hops and way more sweet malts and a touch of wheat.
F - It slightly burns, but not much. Slightly effervescent in the mouth, but still smooth and balanced as it tapers off.
Overall, very pleased with this beer. I just got it into my store. I think a lot of Arrogant Bastard fans will find it more cost effective and more sessionable. Not as good as the classic Arrogant, but very tasty especially for a local brew.
