Apperance- The beer pours a very hazy yellow color with a one finger white head. The head fades super fast to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell-The aroma of the brew is heavy of citrus of orange and tangerine. Along with these aromas comes some smells of starburst fruit punch as well as a little bit of grain.
Taste - The taste begins with a very citrus and sweet fruity taste with lots of strawberry, peach, and apricot. As the taste advances the brew gets more and more hoppy, with a bit of grass hop joining the tongue. Toward the very end comes other tastes of more fruit and sugar, which produce a very sweet and citrus hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is average in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is normal. For the mix of fruity sweet and hop the feel is great and makes for a easy drinker.
Overall-. A very tasty and easy drinking brew with lots of candy like fruit flavor. Tasty!!

Not sure if the BA categorization is wrong or the brewer is intentionally crossing the streams on different categories under the “American IPA” label. But this seems to be a modern, juicy, American-hopped version of a Belgian IPA, and I found the combination of influences to be a little unharmonious (American IPA category or otherwise). And that’s not a knock on the concept of a hoppier saison, farmhouse, or Belgian styled beer, because I’ve had some great ones. But this one is trying to be “big” in too many directions (big Belgian yeast notes combined with hugely tropical fruit hop notes) and the end result is unappealing, at least to my palette.

Pour is a hazy golden color with a voluminous white head. The first aroma I note is Belgian yeast - funky stuff, but there is no indication anywhere (can, website, reviews) that this is a Belgian IPA. Uh oh - did I get a skunky beer?
Nope. The funky Belgian yeast is very present on the taste, and there’s a very nice citrusy hope flavor, too. I don’t know if this was meant to be a Belgian IPA, but it gives every appearance of a very good one.

Poured into a 13 oz Tired Hands Teku not sure when it was canned, but from this source it is fresh 2 or 3 weeks at most. Pours a fairly clear orange with a solid finger of head that leaves thin wisps of lace behind.
Smell is tangerine, garlic, marijuana, pine, and some grapefruit rind.
Taste follows very aggressive garlic, onion, tangerine, pot, pine, and grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is a solid medium, moderate life, not really dry, and very drinkable, but this is a very unique IPA for sure.
Overall I like this but it isn't for everyone, that garlic / onion thing some IPAs have is in this, but personally enjoy those summit flavors, nice brew. Thanks jzeilinger for this can.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on November 23, 2017. Look is lightly hazy orange gold. Smell and taste is juicy citrus and tropical fruit. Feel is soft with a slightly dry finish.
