Appearance:
Light cloudy yellow, Thick, crisp white head that sits there like a lumpy cloud and lasts forever.
Very foamy even when carefully poured at an angle. Not sure if this one was shaken up but if not it's notable in this area.

Nose:
Orange juice

Taste:
Not as juicy as the nose would suggest. Not what I would have expected for a New England Style.

Primarily noteworthy as not being offensive.

Crisp and very light. Typical hop taste minus the bitterness.

Nothing offensive in the taste. Very light flavor.
Good but wouldn't necessarily get it again.

A beer that excels in not being bad.

Pairing ideas: salad with goat cheese. Bruschetta. Brunch with inoffensive people talking about inoffensive topics.

Misc notes:

If it were a person it would be a kid who moved a lot and went to half a dozen different schools and learned to quickly make friends by being unconditionally positive and never rocking the boat.

If it were a car it would be a reasonably priced two-door convertible like a Mazda Miata.

If it were music it would be an album of acoustic instrumental renditions of popular songs.

About a quarter inch head that is off white. With the beer being a copper coloring. Hazy.
The taste has a little kick to it that is almost like a spice kick.

For once I'm going to review an AIPA (or New England IPA, I guess) out of a tulip. Normally, I stick to becher pint glasses, but what the hell, all of this is basically for science as there's barely any cicerones on BA.
The appearance was a semi-murky to hazy bronzed orange color with a cap of a little white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Some light smoothed out filmy lace.
The aroma had a nice blend of sweet to danky oniony hops rolling over some sweet creamy to lemony sweet character. Light lemongrass, some orange pulp, and an ever so slight little bit of mango at the very back end.
The flavor was a really nice blend of sweet to semi-bitter hops playing with the dankiness slightly. Light mango creaminess came in to meld with the onion in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied and had some light sessionable soothing semi-smooth stickiness rolling along my tongue. Carbonation felt under but one of these days, I'm just going to give in and say "carbonation felt on par for a New England styled IPA" (I actually look forward to the day when I actually can say that) until then. The ABV did feel as projected. Semi-creamy finish.
Overall, pretty nice New England styled IPA that I would welcome again in my life.

Can from a 4pk dated 10/11/17

Can felt explosively tight, so I opened over the sink. It was slightly over carbed and it slightly spilled out, but nothing major. Sent a couple of these out, so be careful guys! Poured into 12oz snifter, half liquid/half foam. Dark golden yellow with a bit of haze. Nose is floral with whiffs of coriander/clove. Taste is more of the same. It drinks more like a Belgian pale than anything, but it's still tasty. Get your shit together 450! Maybe this was just canned in the wrong vessel. Def not a New England IPA.

Another nice drinkable brew from 450 north... They make some of my favorite ipa.

Big juicy grapefruit taste with just enough bitterness to clean up the finish..

Would buy again.

A pint can from a four pack that had a date sticker of 10/18/17. Poured in a 12oz. tulip for the review.

Look- Pours a slightly cloudy dark gold producing a generous finger of creamy white foam. It settles ever so slowly revealing heavy lacing.

Smell- Green grapes, lemon zest, floral/spice, passionfruit, rubber and grapefruit.

Taste- Floral esters, green grapes, melon and grapefruit. A spicy pepper-like taste in the finish along with some mint.

Feel- Soft and pillowy with a slightly bitter and dry finish.

Overall- A good beer that seems to miss the mark for the style in my opinion. The smell is slightly weak and the taste has a strange floral/spiciness that is a bit odd. The tropical juiciness usually associated with this style is nowhere to be found. A drinkable but pricey four pack at $16.

I guess ill take the first stab at this one.
No can date, but release was less than 2 weeks ago.

A: hazy dark yellow, with a large frothy white head with extreme retention.

S: citrus, lemon, and grapefruit. Definetly mossic hops dominating this one.

T: juicy citrus on the front, with a clove like spice clashing on the finish

M: medium body, high carb. not quite the soft pillowyy NE style feel as advertised.

O: alls good until that spice kicks in and overwhelms the juicyness. Looking forward to more reviews to see if I'm the only one getting that.
