Appearance - The beer was brown with white bubbles topping the glass.
Smell - The nose was sweet with a big maple presence. It almost seemed buttery, though I am not sure that this was intentional.
Taste - Maple came to the front with a slight lactose sourness. Cinnamon notes made the off flavors even worse. It was like drinking, spoiled Horchata. Sour maple lingered in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - The body allowed the profile to linger, which was not ideal.
Overall - I’ll put this down as a beer that I would not recommend.

Appearance: Pitch black, with no lace.
Aroma: Pancakes and maple syrup, yes. Couldn’t be more perfect an approximation!
Taste: Unique. Sweet maple and doughy pancakes all the way. Substantial and filling like the real thing. A delicious and creative beer that I’d love to have again someday.

Head quickly fades. Can smell maple from feet away.
Massively sweet on the palate, like thin carbonated maple syrup.
Very thin, especially for 10% ABV.

Oily black with brown edges and a soft creamy tan blanket minimally retaining to a creamy ring.
This has all that sweet Aunt Jemima-ness with a light brown ale sort of underbody. It's a little nutty and the malt even gives off a pancake vibe, with a little butter, and even a touch of chocolate chip. The maple develops a little beyond cheap artificial syrup with a touch as smokiness.
The soft medium body has a light, semi-dry, barely sticky finish.
It's not bad, yet not the punch to the face stout I thought it'd be, which could be a good thing depending on your mood re: pastry stouts. It's pretty drinkable despite mimicking an overly sweet viscous experience.

Poured into a 16 Snulip glass not sure when it was canned and 10% ABV. Pours a very slick near pitch black with a solid finger brown head that leaves thin webs of lace with excellent retention. 4.25
Smell is what I signed up for, maple, vanilla bean, coffee, cocoa, and cinnamon, maple stands out most. 4
Taste follows maple, cinnamon, vanilla, and a little bit of coffee. 4
Mouthfeel is bigger than average, moderate carbonation, not really dry, and at 10% no hint of booze. 4.25
Overall this is another very solid, one dimensional stout that is really tasty. Thanks @jzeilinger for this guy. 4

A - Dark brown pour with a thick toffee, creamy colored thick layer resting on top.
S - Sticky maple aroma with cinnamon and vanilla.
T - Maple, vanilla, cinnamon, some hits of sweet toffee and jelly, and finishes on the sweet side.
M - Thick, velvety, and sticky on the lips.
O - Nice dessert-like flavor with a dangerously well hidden ABV and not crossing the line of cloying.
