Super viscous maroon with a puffy magenta head settling in fits leaving raspberry pulp on the glass.
This is very similar to Raspberry Dessert and even simulates a hint of cinnamon in the grahamy pastry sour elements. But the star of the show is sweet gooey raspberry, with mild hints of herbal, vinous boysenberry. On the exhale it comes back to pastry sour as the vanilla gives a bit of a pie crust element.
The body is uber velvety thick, but has a cutting fine carbonation that is assisted by a mildly sharp acidity. This comes to a tingly somewhat papery dry finish. I don't know how something so absurdly assisted by added fruit can be fermented out so well and finish so cleanly on the palate, but 450 consistently does it!

Wow. This one is loose. Like, the juice is loose, know what I am saying? This one is OJ speeding down the 5 in a white Bronco like his life is on the line! It’s all fresh and good like hitting 7/11 when you are stoned for a slurpee. The boysenberry and raspberry hit you hard like Pete Rose taking out the catcher in the All-Star game. But then you get the graham cracker and vanilla, and it throws you for a twist like a Rod Serling narration. Yeah, this one is well and good and crazy kinky like my girl from three years ago that used a safe word.
Yep!

I don’t know if this is really beer but it’s amazing. I love the complexity of flavors. The tartness is perfect as I’d hope. No one else I’ve had comes close to these 450’s except maybe some Aslin beers. I wish they were easier to get up in Chicago.

L: Viscous deep red, zero transparency.
S: Berry dominant with a nice amount of tartness. I do pick up on the bready graham cracker as well, especially as it warms. Smells great.
T: Fantastic. Raspberry up front, graham cracker in the middle, and graham cracker and boysenberry at finish that carries over in to the after taste. It is tart and slightly sweet from the vanilla, with the graham cracker providing a nice middle ground. I love boysenberry, so to actually taste it in excess is quite something. I do wish the vanilla was a bit more pronounced, but it is a minor gripe. Graham cracker presence really is icing on the cake, bringing the whole profile together.
F: Medium in body and in weight. Moderate carbonation with zero booze. Nick thick feel without being sludgy.
O: A very enjoyable offering, and one of my favorite from the Slushy roster I've yet to try. The boysenberry and graham cracker are the flavors that have me coming back. I am very glad to try. For those who care, the wife approves. Cheers!
