Drank from a 1 pint / 16 fluid ounces can purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Belmont, MA
Served in a tulip
The beer poured a thick, pulpy and completely opaque, deep oxblood hue. A thin cap of froth topped the body, but it dissolved almost instantaneously. There was no lacing whatsoever. As the liquid receded, a fine wall of sediment coated the glass.
The aroma was outstanding. Raspberry notes dominated. Freshly puréed raspberry perhaps. Bright and sweet but also slightly tart. Although I did not detect any cherry or lemonade, I thought I picked up some blackberry. Super simple overall but still fantastic.
The flavor profile followed the nose. Berry notes again dominated. Raspberry was most prominent. Like in the nose, I thought I detected some blackberry as well. Hint of cherry possibly. Tart lemon notes appeared as the beer moved along the palate and crescendoed on the back end and in the finish. More lingering sweet-tart berry notes and a hint of berry seed-like bitterness after the swallow.
Excellent thick, rich, smoothie-like mouthfeel. Full bodied for the style. The liquid contained a super fine, subdued effervescence that worked very nicely.
450 North’s Slushy Series beers are always impressive, and this XXL variant really blew me away. Although the raspberry was perhaps the only truly noticeable adjunct, this beer was amazing regardless.

Very good, but hard to call these 'beer'. They taste more like an alcoholic fruit smoothie.

Look: dark red thick Jamba Juice, thick pink head
Smell: lemons, raspberries.
Taste: lemonade, raspberries, sweet+very tart. A little boozy.
Feel: pretty thick, much like a smoothie.
Overall: a little too sweet and boozy to be a usual for me but fun to try.
