Well when I dropped by the hops for harvest brew day 2020, Sheldon had one of these IEDs ready to go. Didn't think I'd be the first one to write a review on this beer for BA, but here we are.
Pours a deep purple color, I guess I was expecting brown, but who knows what to expect with this nonsense. There is a lighter purple with some pink head to it at about the 2/5" range. Frankly, this actually has an impressive appearance that owes quite a bit to the blueberries in it. The aroma was pretty far from a berliner weisse as virtually no wheat nor sour mash like notes are detectable. Its just all pastry fruit kettle sour power. Still not hating it, but at the same time, pretty far afield from style.
Taste, man this might be the sweetest berliner I have ever had, and by a mile. The flavors are nice and all, but again, pretty far from style. No idea what the abv is on this, they claim one thing and it tests pretty far from those commercial tug job claims.
I actually liked the beer, but I would never stroke it as a berliner weisse. Its a pastry kettle sour.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
