Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Craft Beer Cellar, Belmont, MA
Served in a tulip
The beer poured a thick and pulpy, opaque, glowing yellow-orange hue and was topped by an inch-tall bubbly mass that quickly morphed into the body. There was no lacing whatsoever. As the head receded, a wall of fine sediment coated the glass.
The aroma was insane. Tropical fruit and citrus notes melded seamlessly with an intense vanilla presence. A vanilla creamsicle came to mind. Passionfruit was most prominent. Mango came through strong as well. Good dose of lemon too. Nice mix of sweet and tart. Some sweet orange notes were also detectable.
The flavor profile was just as stellar as the nose. Again, passionfruit came through big time. Super fresh and bright. Loads of punchy vanilla too. Hint of mango. Tart lemon notes appeared as the beer moved along the palate and intensified on the back end and the finish. Lemon and sweet tropical fruits lingered in the finish.
Excellent thick, rich, smoothie-like mouthfeel. Full bodied for the style. The beer contained a fine, moderate effervescence that worked perfectly.
450 North beers are usually really impressive, and Ice Cream Man Cup might very well be my favorite yet. This literally tasted like a liquefied tropical fruit creamsicle, with my favorite fruit on the planet (passionfruit) leading the way.

First 450 North offering. Picked up as part of out-of-the-blue drop at Fort Point Market in Boston. It has the same vibe as Trillium's Twice Daily Serving variants: lots of fruit (smoothie-like consistency), no bitterness, basically an alcoholic fruit spritzer. Is it beer? I'd be inclined to say.... not really. But it is reasonably tasty in its own right
