Beer boomer tries beer made with ice cream, oreos, cream and oranges. Hoping for the best.

A- Pours from the 16oz can into a snifter and a rocks glass with a murky and cloudy orange body. The head is a minimal layer of foam that lasts only momentarily before nothing is left and no lacing is left behind by this brew.

S- Getting a lot of the orange in the aroma and that part of it is quite pleasant. Bold and fresh blood orange. The ice cream, cream and oreos become immediately apparent and it is kind of something you need to get used to for a second. The vanilla and chocolate are pleasant and play with the orange fairly well. The creamy aspect of the aroma is a bit hard to get used to and it feels like I am sensing a melting ice cream cone rather than a beer. Orange, oreo, chocolate ice cream and vanilla cream, pretty good overall.

T- Follows up on the aroma pretty much identically but the sourness and some more intense blood orange juice flavors makes things more pleasant. The orange overall is great and with the light tartness is the star of the beer. Oreos, vanilla, chocolate ice cream, lactic acid and citrus zest in the backdrop.

MF- Medium bodied but has a very silky and substantial body which I am guessing is from a shitload of sugars in the brew. Light end carbonation and a moderately tart finish.

Great use of blood orange and interesting additions from the cookies and creams. Not bad considering I how repulsive the description sounds. Some credit must be given for a degree of innovation here whether you love it or hate it.
