As a pretty cool experiment of the clash of flavor, 450 North must be running out of ideas as they forget that the savory flavors of peanut butter and chocolate belong in stout whereas sour beer gets the fruit. But that's ok, not everyone brings an 'A' game to work every day.

Slushy XXL Fluffer Nutter Swirl does actually pour with the visual consistency of peanut butter but with a banana puddin' pastel hue. Certainly needing to burn the glass after the session, this heavy film of cream will be impossible to clean. As an oddly sweet combination of nuttiness, sweetness, cream and chocolate ride alongside of citrus and sourness. Synonymous with cake batter in taste, the early palate is a simplistic sweetness of cream candy, french vanilla and puddin'.

And the flavors certainly swirl on the middle palate as the taste of fudge, condensed milk, peanut butter mingle with lemon, apple, lime and banana for a very unusual collection of flavors that go together nearly as good as tooth paste and orange juice. As a slight sourness pulls from the pastry, a balance of tartness is counterintuitive to the savory flavors of fluffernutter candies.

Dense, rich and cloying from sip to finish, I'm surprised that the acids and cream didn't congeal on the palate. Its chewy taste and texture is oddly placed outside of stout. Even for smoothie sour ale, this combination of flavors are simply too curious.
