1 PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a murky, deep purple color and is topped with large bubbles covered in fruit purée. The side of the glass quickly becomes covered in the remnants of the fruit purée.
I get the marshmallow as soon as I crack the can. Blackberry and raspberry are the dominant fruit smells.
Huge fruit flavor. Blackberry is the dominant flavor. I get some tart raspberry and, to a lesser extent, strawberry. The marshmallow is there initially but gets overtaken by the fruit flavors.
Full bodied with a thick mouthfeel
Fruity and filling

No one goes harder or heavier with smoothie ale than 450 North. And with their love affair with marshmallow you could say that they are the masters of mallow.
Marshmetal hits the glass with a thick and cream mauve, impossibly opaque and swirling with the viscosity of alcoholic jam. As any of its light berry-stained froth struggles to pull from the heavy ale underneath, the nose screams dark fruit, sweetened with cream and battering the senses with smoothie shops. Sweet once on the tongue, its rich fruitiness is propped up with poundcake, red velvet cake batter, heavy cream and cobbler.
As the middle palate becomes beaten down with cakey sweetness, the fruits build upon in true jammy form. Dark berries swirl around the creamy sweetness with a juicy, roubust and tantalizing tanginess seeming like unset jello. As the ale lays tangy tracks toward finish, the acidity helps to take an edge off of the unwavering sweetness for a sweet and sour interplay to close.
Full, plush, cloying and chewy, Marshmetal batters the palate with unapologetic pastry sweetness that extends int a slightly cidery, peppery and wine spritzer aftertaste.
