Taking a break from their smoothie and hazy ways, 450 Nort gives the more traditional hop heads exactly what they need- a Simcoe, Mosaic, Strata, Citra and Centennial hop fueled, bitter-leaning IPA.

Pale gold and hazier than your average West Coast beer, West Coast Nuggets brings a full and fruity hop display to the nose. Chocked full of citrus, tropical, berry and herb, the a strong citronella perfume is reached. Supple and juicy upon first sip, the session starts haze with a rounded cereal blend of caramel, honey and shortcake.

As the ale rolls along the middle palate, the malts begin to fade and the hops flood the tastebuds with bold flavors of white grapefruit, orange and lime. With a peps of tropical fruit, hints of passionfruit, mango and papaya keep thing juicy even with the late palate bringing a drying bitterness. Dank herbs of geranium, chive and spruce come with green tea, verbena and cannabis for a gin-like set of botanicals to close.

Medium bodied overall but fuller for West Coast-styled ale, the session finishes on the bitter side of bitter-sweet and with an overall malty-dry mouthfeel. As extensions of fruit peels and pulp keep the ale trending like fruity citronella overall.
