The continual blur of the lines that separates sour ale from after indulging muchies, 450 North is content to ride that boundary with starfruti, cara cara orange, citrus unch and calamansi for what's basically a perfect beer for herb pairing.

Just like fresh-squeezed juice in the glass, Starfish Haze pours exactly like pineapple juicy with extra pulp while teasing the nose with a tangy tropical-laden citrusy lemon and lime scent. A drift of soft cereal and cream with the tangy hints of tropical fruit lead to a cocktail taste that sides with tropical punch, sorbet and screwdriver as the initial taste is dense with tropical fruit and citrus.

As the smoothie sour ale splashes the tastebuds, its nearly teeth churning tartness is intense, juicy and sweet. Notions of smoothie, slushie and creamsicle come to mind. As the suggestions of mango and apricot folds into cocktail flavors, the a hint of vanilla and cream soothe the senses before a brisk acidity steps in late. Finishing with a strong lean toward the orange, passionfruit, starfruit and pineapple only sells the cocktail character even more.
