Battling scurvy one beer at a time, 450 North hits the holiday season with the inspiration of that Florida grandparent who always sends citrus baskets for Christmas.
Painted with a deep and glowing orange patina and with virtually no froth, the smoothie sour ale of Electric Lights settles in the glass like tropical fruit puree and orange juice concentrate. As a tropical, citrus, stone fruit and creamy sweet scent fills the nose, the cereal rife ale shows a smooth and creamy flavor equipped with fruit glaze and breakfast juices.
After the sugar shock of the early palate alleviates, the tartness of green apple, lime, lemon, gooseberry and passionfruit provide a mild balance against the fruity sweetness that persists. The overcast of apricot, tangerine and mango all align for a session that would make any astronaut proud, finishing, fruity, candied and sweet with a slight pectin balance.
Full bodied, off-cloying and quite one-dimensional, Electric Lights brings an electric taste but with a sugary density that dulls the senses and leaves the tastebuds fatigued and lumbered.

Color of tang, non typical orange in color. Smells like tang. Taste is very candle like, maple and sweetness. Slight mango flavor. Not offensive but couldn’t drink an entire can.
