Just what everyone thinks amour when drinking sour- chili dogs. But then, we don’t live in a Sonic world. But then again, this isn’t beer either. A pineapple and habanero tinted seltzer base beverage might just make sense after all.
Pale and lightly of burnish gold, Chili Dog Lite pops and fizzes leaving a treacle of froth behind. But the tropical, citrusy, cider and vinous scent leads to a light sugary, creamy and sherbet-like sweetness in tow.
Anything beer wise is foregone to favor a simple sweetness and a premiere fruitiness of pineapple with the backdrop of lemon, gooseberry, white grape, green apple and a hint of vanilla cream for balance. Its tangy acidity acts as a balancing agent when the finish comes clean and fruity with a slim habanero flavor without the burn.
Full bodied, sweet and fruity, the non-ale beverage provided a gluten free option while still keeping the 450 North character alive and well. And this less cakey take on sour probably won’t give as much diabetes as usual.
